Sahith Reddy Madara is passionate about connecting and empowering individuals to advance the future space economy. Sahith is currently associated with Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology (SAASST), University of Sharjah (UoS) as a Research Engineer - CubeSat Lab (leading and working on the development of Sharjah’s 1st 3U Astronomical Cube-Satellite named Sharjah-Sat-1 – for observing solar coronal holes and bright X-ray sources in our galaxy), and also acting as a UAE’s National Point of Contact for the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) in support of United Nations Programme on Space Applications. Prior to SAASST, Sahith was working as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Collins Aerospace – A Part of United Technologies Corporation; Aerospace Research Engineer (Apprentice) at Masdar Institute (iEnergy), Khalifa University of Science & Technology; Production & Quality Engineer (Apprentice) at Hydro Middle East (Oil & Gas); Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Apprentice) at Air India Engineering Services Limited - Boeing 737-800 facility; and lastly AME On Job Training (OJT) at Emirates Aviation Services. Sahith has a keen interest in public engagement with space science, interactions between different fields relevant to space exploration, and the future of a new space economy.


Sahith has kept his research spirit alive, having currently published 26 research & review papers at various International peer-reviewed journals; presented 10 technical papers, and been honored with the “Best Paper and Presentation Award” thrice at various multiple International Conferences throughout the world. His research interest over the past few years have mainly focused on Composite Materials and Structures, Cube-Satellite Technologies, Non-Traditional Machining, Radar Absorbing Materials, Green Aviation. Sahith has served as an esteemed member of the SGAC (UAE Delegation) at the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UN COPUOS). Amongst his noticeable accomplishments also being invited and honored as a Speaker, session chair, resource person, and technical committee member in various international conferences, hackathons, workshops, and events organized by, for instance, Azercosmos - NASA Space App Challenge, Institute for Engineering Research and Publication, Sharjah Education Council, UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre, Curtin University, Global Aerospace Summit, IEEE (UAE Section), Space Generation Advisory Council, Royal Aeronautical Society, are a few of them. Sahith is an B.Tech. Aerospace Engineering graduate (Gold Medalist - “MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED” Award Winner) from Amity University Dubai.

Sahith is a firm believer in the fact that Innovation often occurs at boundaries of discipline and one should always be ready to go forth that extra step or put in that extra effort to overcome all the barriers to realize his vision. Sahith has radically changed his life & career after a self-imposed sabbatical to follow  passion (helping others to shine).


Sahith is an international speaker for audiences ranging from the commercial space industry to the general public, universities, and schools. He is currently based in Toulouse, France and is always looking for new opportunities to talk about the space economy, space science, and careers in science to a wider audience.
